Blecua y Torres
Village
Blecua y Torres is a municipality in the Hoya de Huesca, in Aragon, born in 1969 from the merger of Blecua, the seat of the municipality, and Torres de Montes; it borders Angüés, Antillón and Pueyo de Fañanás. It preserves the Romanesque castle-hermitage of Santa Ana, from the 11th century, restored in 2007, and the parish church dedicated to the Santos Reyes, as well as an ethnological museum of traditional everyday-life implements. The festivals are held in honour of San Rafael on the weekend closest to 24 October. Among its noted figures is Agustín Arnalda, a grammarian who was a professor of Humanities at La Seo de Zaragoza in the early 18th century. It has 175 inhabitants (INE 2025).
