What to see and do in Belver de Cinca

Belver de Cinca
Village
Belver de Cinca is a municipality in the Bajo Cinca, in Huesca, raised on a height on the bank of the river Cinca, 98 kilometres from Huesca, with a population of around 1,300 inhabitants. Its lands fall within the Vino de la Tierra Valle del Cinca designation, with cabernet sauvignon, merlot, chardonnay and macabeo grown on stony soils, and in the irrigated areas the traditional cultivation of rice continues. The village's origin goes back to a Templar foundation of 1240, and in 1309 the knights taken prisoner after the fall of Monzón, the last stronghold of the Order of the Temple, were brought to its castle; twelve of them died and were buried in the crypt of the hermitage of Our Lady of Grace, now the Casa Fox. It later belonged to the Order of the Hospital.
