Redován
Village
Redován is a municipality in the Vega Baja del Segura, in southern Alicante province, with 8,283 inhabitants (INE 2025), a mostly Spanish-speaking population. It lies between the Segura river and the Sierra de Callosa, the last foothill of the Sistema Penibético, whose highest peak, El Águila, reaches 568 metres; the village stands 28 metres above sea level, on flat, fertile land given over to market gardens. Its parish church of San Miguel Arcángel was built over an old hermitage that had in turn been built over a mosque; raised to a parish in 1602, the present building dates from 1701. In 1988 the sanctuary of the Virgen de la Salud, one of the municipality's patron saints, was also built.

Monument
Built in 1988 in a recreational area beside the foothills of the Sierra de Callosa, this sanctuary is home to the devotion to one of Redován's patron saints. It houses a small carving of the Virgin of Health, together with another of Saint Christopher, and every 8 September, as part of the main festivities in honour of the patron saints, a pilgrimage is held in her honour up to the sierra.
