What to see and do in Tiana

Tiana
Village
Tiana is a municipality in the province of Barcelona, at the southern end of the Maresme comarca, located on the sierra de la Marina 15 kilometres from Barcelona and 20 from Mataró, at 136 metres above sea level. Its territory, of 7.9 square kilometres, covered for the most part by woodland, vineyards and scrub, is surrounded by low hills that, shell-shaped, protect it from northerly winds; it borders Santa Maria de Martorelles, El Masnou, Alella, Montgat —a former maritime neighbourhood of Tiana, independent since 1933— and Badalona. It preserves remains of the Roman villa of Can Sentromà, one of the best studied in the Maresme. It is today an essentially residential municipality, whose population has grown mainly since the 1980s. It has 9,331 inhabitants.
