Sant Feliu de Llobregat
Village
Sant Feliu de Llobregat is the administrative capital of the Baix Llobregat, a city in the metropolitan area of Barcelona situated on the banks of the river Llobregat, with 46,781 inhabitants (INE 2025). Palaeolithic remains have been found at Can Albareda and Neolithic ones in the Cueva del Oro, as well as Iberian and Roman remains, a period in which the city bore the names Ticiano, Tiano and Micano. The current place name comes from a hermitage dedicated to Saint Felix, documented in 1002. It preserves the bell tower of the church of San Lorenzo, built between 1892 and 1933 and used as a watchtower during the Civil War, the only element that survives from the original temple.
