What to see and do in Yanguas de Eresma

Yanguas de Eresma
Village
Yanguas de Eresma is a village of about 117 inhabitants in the Campiña Segoviana, near the bank of the Eresma, with views of the sierra de Guadarrama and the mountain of La Mujer Muerta; it belonged to the Community of City and Land of Segovia, in the Sexmo de Santa Eulalia, and was called simply Yanguas until 1916. In its municipal area lies the deserted village of Cisla, and in the station district, San Pedro, remains survive of the old Segovia–Medina del Campo line, closed in 1993 and converted into a greenway of the Eresma. It preserves a church in courtly Baroque style dedicated to the Virgen de la Asunción, several hermitages and, at San Pedro de Caldas, a thermal spring of about twenty degrees where Roman remains have appeared.
