What to see and do in Roda de Eresma

Roda de Eresma
Village
Roda de Eresma is a locality of about 260 inhabitants in the Campiña Segoviana, with notable Roman traces: the Puente Canto, from the 3rd century, over the Medel stream, and a late Roman necropolis from the 4th and 5th centuries. The village is first mentioned, as Roda, in a document from the Cathedral Archive of Segovia dated 1247, and until the 1916 reform of municipal names it was called simply Roda, becoming Roda de Eresma from then on. It also preserves the church of la Asunción and the Fuente Vieja cistern, and holds its festival on 13 June, in honour of San Antonio de Padua.
