What to see and do in La Vid de Ojeda

La Vid de Ojeda
Village
La Vid de Ojeda is a municipality of about eighty inhabitants in Palencia province, in the La Ojeda area, formed by the union of three former villages: Quintanilla de La Vid, Santa María de La Vid and Santa Ana. Under the Ancien Régime the whole area belonged to the Monasterio de San Andrés de Arroyo, whose Cistercian abbess held civil and criminal jurisdiction over several surrounding villages as lady of high and low justice. Towards the mid-19th century it had 255 inhabitants, according to Madoz. It preserves a church dedicated to Nuestra Señora de la Asunción.
