Revilla Vallejera
Village
Revilla Vallejera is a municipality of Burgos in the Odra-Pisuerga district, with 112 inhabitants made up of the settlements of Revilla and Vizmalo, as well as the farmsteads of Finca Santa Rosalía and Vega Alegre, beside the Castile motorway, in the fertile valley of the Arlanzón river, near the boundary with the province of Palencia. The land combines the flat floodplain beside the river with plateaus to the north and west. It was a crown town with an ordinary mayor, belonging to the old district of Castrojeriz, one of the fourteen that made up the Intendancy of Burgos between 1785 and 1833. In Vizmalo there is today a notable farm raising wagyu-breed cattle.
