Cebrecos
Village
Cebrecos is a town in the Arlanza district, in the judicial district of Lerma, province of Burgos, part of the La Yecla association of municipalities; it has a population of 60 inhabitants. Its settlement dates back to around the year 900, when the county of Castile extended its frontier to the Duero, and the first documentary references to the town date from 27 January of the year 930, in a charter of the Becerro de Arlanza concerning the boundaries of the monastery of San Mamés de Ura confirmed by count Fernán González. It then belonged to the alfoz of Ura, one of the administrative districts of the county of Castile dependent on a castle and its tenant. It celebrates San Cristóbal and Santa Ana on 25 and 26 July.
