What to see and do in Lominchar

Lominchar
Village
Lominchar is a municipality in the comarca of La Sagra, in the province of Toledo, set on a plain, with 2,989 inhabitants (INE 2025), against the 397 it had in the mid-19th century. It borders the municipal areas of Palomeque, Cedillo del Condado, El Viso de San Juan, Yuncos, Recas and Chozas de Canales. Until the 1916 reform of municipal naming it was officially called Lominchar or Villanueva de la Sagra. Its main historic building is the parish church of San Esteban, complemented in the town centre by the hermitage of the Veracruz.
Church of San Esteban de Lominchar
Monument
The church of San Esteban de Lominchar (La Sagra, Toledo) already appears in Pascual Madoz's Diccionario geográfico, in the mid-19th century, as the parish of San Esteban with a second-rank curacy of ordinary appointment, which confirms its antiquity as the municipality's parish church.
