Sotodosos
Village
Sotodosos is a municipality in the northern mountains of Guadalajara, in Castilla-La Mancha, situated at 1,146 metres of altitude among oak and holm-oak woodland, near towns such as Hortezuela de Océn, Padilla del Ducado, Esplegares and Abánades. It now has barely 30 inhabitants, far from the 299 it had in the mid-19th century, when the area was already spoken of for its 'good stands of holm oak and oak'. It preserves the 17th-century church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, and the hermitages of la Soledad and Nuestra Señora de la Vega.
