What to see and do in Azlor

Azlor
Village
Azlor is a municipality of the Somontano de Barbastro, in Huesca, situated at the entrance to the Val de Alferche, next to the barranco de La Clamor, on sandstone ground where a tower stands, reached by forty steps carved into the rock; it has 155 inhabitants. It was crown land (realengo) at least until 1137, and on 8 January 1200 King Pedro II de Aragón granted it as a town to Miguel de Resún, although by the 16th century it again appeared as a hamlet of Barbastro. It preserves the Gothic-Aragonese church of Nuestra Señora de las Victorias and an 18th-century reservoir known as that of the Moors. Among its notable people is Miguel de Azlor, one of the nobles beheaded according to the legend of the Bell of Huesca.
