What to see and do in Castrotierra de Valmadrigal

Castrotierra de Valmadrigal
Village
Castrotierra de Valmadrigal is a hamlet of a little over a hundred inhabitants in the traditional comarca of Valmadrigal, in the province of León, bordering Las Grañeras, Vallecillo, Villeza, La Veguellina, Santa Cristina de Valmadrigal and Villamoratiel de las Matas. It is watered by several streams — those of the valleys of Valoria, de la Huerta and de Valdecasillas — which converge in the Valdesanmartín, a tributary of the Vega stream, which in turn is a tributary of the río Cea. It preserves the church of San Pedro Apóstol and celebrates its patron saints, San Pedro and San Marcos, on 25 April, as well as summer festivals in early August.
