Villabraz
Village
Villabraz is a municipality of 82 inhabitants, situated at 845 metres altitude in the León district of Esla-Campos, which besides the eponymous settlement includes the villages of Alcuetas and Fáfilas. In the mid-19th century the locality had 340 recorded inhabitants, more than four times the present number; Madoz's dictionary then credited it with about seventy houses living off grain, wine and livestock. Its patron saint is San Julián, celebrated every 9 January, a feast that still marks the calendar of this small León municipality.
