Quintana del Castillo
Village
Quintana del Castillo is a municipality in León, in the comarca of La Cepeda, with around 699 inhabitants, situated at 1,023 metres above sea level and enclosed to the north by a sierra whose highest point is the pico Pozofierro, at 1,524 metres; within its boundaries lie the Villameca reservoir and thirteen small villages. It has one of the oldest churches in the comarca, dating from the 18th century in Baroque style, and basic services including a bakery, a pharmacy, a shop, a funeral home, a tobacconist's and a sports centre.
