La Cierva
Village
La Cierva is a municipality in the comarca of Serranía Media-Campichuelo y Serranía Baja, in the province of Cuenca, with 39 inhabitants, situated at an altitude of 1,150 metres on a hillside between two broad plains, about 50 km from the provincial capital and near Valdemoro de la Sierra, Valdemorillo and Cañada del Hoyo. The village was built with stone from its historic jasper and purple marble quarries.
