Pajaroncillo
Village
Pajaroncillo is a municipality in the comarca of Serranía Media-Campichuelo y Serranía Baja, in the province of Cuenca, with 59 inhabitants, situated at 995 metres above sea level in a municipal area ranging from the 1,315 metres of the Pico de la Zorra to the 920 metres of the Cabriel riverbed, covered with pines, savin junipers, junipers and oaks. Near the village, in the Corbeteras area, there are eroded limestone rocks with curious chimney-like shapes. Its most notable feature is the Cristinas bridge, an ashlar structure of the 16th century over the Cabriel, about three kilometres from the village, very deteriorated in its parapets, and it also preserves a necropolis of Iron Age burial mounds.
