Sisamón
Village
Small municipality of the Comunidad de Calatayud, at over a thousand metres of altitude, whose name comes from the ancient Roman Segisamon. It preserves a castle with a square tower about twelve metres to a side and remains of a wall, and the church of San Martín, where Gothic, Mudejar, Renaissance and Baroque elements overlap; in the 14th century Pedro IV granted the lordship to the family of Juan Fernández de Heredia.
