What to see and do in Celadas

Celadas
Village
Celadas is a municipality of the Comunidad de Teruel, situated in a depression at the foot of the sierra Palomera, at 1,119 metres above sea level and 18 kilometres from the provincial capital, with 331 inhabitants. Its most notable building is the parish church of Santo Domingo de Silos, a Gothic-Renaissance work from the second half of the 16th century that preserves two original panels from the period; also preserved are the Baroque hermitage of Santa Quiteria, from the 18th century, and a Renaissance castle rebuilt after the Civil War. The festivals are held throughout May: on the first Sunday, a pilgrimage in honour of Santa Bárbara; on the second, in honour of Santo Domingo; on the third, first communions, and on the last, the main festivals. Celadas has been twinned since 1991 with the Ukrainian town of Vinogradovo.
