What to see and do in Hoz de Jaca

Hoz de Jaca
Village
Hoz de Jaca is a municipality in Alto Gállego, Huesca, with about 81 inhabitants, which together with Panticosa and El Pueyo de Jaca formed one of the three quiñones into which the Valle de Tena was administratively divided until the 19th century. Already documented in 1062, it preserves the parish church of the Santos Reyes, in Baroque style and dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, and among its traditional houses those of Begola, Viu, Chico, Mairal and Barrera stand out. Its great attraction is the Balcón del Muro, a viewpoint hanging over a cliff that drops vertically down to the Búbal reservoir, from which almost the whole valley can be seen and from which a long zip line and an extreme swing hang. Its livestock farming makes use of the high mountain pastures to raise Pyrenean-breed calves.
