Cadreita
Village
A town founded in the 11th century after its conquest from the Muslims by Sancho Ramírez, king of Aragón, who before 1093 donated it, along with its castle, to the French monastery of Saint-Pons-de-Thomières. It was destroyed by the Castilian army in 1335 and decimated again by the Black Death of 1348, which wiped out nearly all its households.
