What to see and do in Coslada

Coslada
Village
Coslada is a city in the Corredor del Henares, in the Community of Madrid, with around 80,000 inhabitants, located alongside the Henares valley at its junction with the Jarama basin and almost entirely surrounded by the municipality of Madrid. Its proximity to Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport and its position as a crossroads, between the A-2, M-40 and M-45 motorways, explain why the entire northern strip of its territory has specialized in logistics and transport activities, with a dry port that is one of the largest in Spain and made it a major logistics hub alongside Barajas. Although it forms part of Madrid's area of influence, Coslada has always been organized as an independent town; its origin as a settlement goes back to the 6th century, after the Visigothic court settled in Toledo, and after the Christian conquest of 1083 it was placed within the sexmo of Vallecas in the alfoz of Madrid. It preserves Paleolithic sites at El Cañaveral and the parish of the Holy Apostles Saint Peter and Saint Paul.
