What to see and do in Burlada/Burlata

Burlada/Burlata
Village
A municipality 3 km from Pamplona, the fourth most populous in Navarre. Documented in the 11th century as 'Buruslata' or 'Bruslata', it was a royal retreat: the kings of Navarre had a palace here next to a Romanesque church, both now lost. It was part of the Valle de Egüés until it became a separate municipality at a session on 25 September 1970, with its first town council elected on 7 February 1971.
Puente medieval de Burlada
Monument
A six-arch bridge over the Arga river, of medieval origin, which linked Burlada with Pamplona.
Carnaval de Burlada y la leyenda de Lukas de Aierbe
Activity
Burlada's carnival commemorates the local legend of Lukas de Aierbe, a popular character around whom the town's costumed festivities are organized.
