Burlada/Burlata Village · Burlada/Burlata, Comarca de Pamplona, Navarra A municipality 3 km from Pamplona, the fourth most populous in Navarre. Documented in the 11th century as 'Buruslata' or 'Bruslata', it was a royal retreat: the kings of Navarre had a palace here next to a Romanesque church, both now lost. It was part of the Valle de Egüés until it became a separate municipality at a session on 25 September 1970, with its first town council elected on 7 February 1971.
