Village
Ossó de Sió is a municipality in the comarca of Urgell, in the province of Lérida, made up of four settlements beside the River Sió, among them Castellnou d'Ossó, where the Torre Rodona stands: a Roman tower from the 2nd century BC on which a medieval tower was built after the conquest of Ermengol IV in 1070. The municipality was officially called just Ossó until the municipal nomenclature reform of 1916, when it adopted its current name.
