Cerratón de Juarros
Village
Cerratón de Juarros is a municipality of Burgos on the northern slope of the Montes de Oca, south of La Bureba, watered by the Cerratón river, a tributary of the Oca. It also comprises the minor local entity of Turrientes and the depopulated site of San Otero. It belonged to the royal jurisdiction of Villafranca de Montes de Oca, headed by a hamlet councillor; by the mid-19th century it had 28 or 30 houses, according to Pascual Madoz. Its church is dedicated to Santa Eulalia de Mérida, dependent on the parish of Monasterio de Rodilla, in the archpriestship of Oca-Tirón. It now has 42 inhabitants.
