Tejadillos
Village
Tejadillos is a municipality in the comarca of Serranía Media-Campichuelo y Serranía Baja, in the province of Cuenca, situated at 1,220 metres above sea level. It preserves its medieval layout in two quarters separated by the Tejadillos stream: the older one, known as del Cerro or de la Plaza, next to the church, and that of Cabezuelo, on the other side, which extended the village in the 18th century. Its parish church of Nuestra Señora de la Natividad reuses as a bell tower a wide, tall defensive tower, with a simple doorway of voussoirs and a round arch, and a single nave with a basket-handle arch. Its festivals are held on 16 July, Virgen del Carmen, and 5 August, Virgen de las Nieves. It has 102 inhabitants.
