What to see and do in Jaulín

Jaulín
Village
Jaulín is a small municipality in the Comarca Central of Zaragoza, about 28 km south of the capital, bordering Fuendetodos, Mezalocha, Villanueva de Huerva, Valmadrid, María de Huerva and Botorrita. It has 305 inhabitants (INE 2025), compared with the 240 it had in the mid-19th century. Its parish church is dedicated to the Natividad de Nuestra Señora. In its municipal area, beside the road leading to Fuendetodos, the fortified position of the Vértice Parapetos was built during the Civil War, with four bunkers built by the rebel army to halt the Republican advance on Zaragoza.

Festivities of Jaulín
Activity
Jaulín celebrates its patronal festivities on 3 February in honour of San Blas and on 2 June in honour of San Marcelino. Devotion to San Blas is longstanding in the town: Pascual Madoz's geographical dictionary, from 1847, already records the existence of a hermitage dedicated to this saint in the municipal territory.
