What to see and do in Torre de las Arcas

Torre de las Arcas
Village
Torre de las Arcas is a small municipality of the Teruel Cuencas Mineras, with barely 19 inhabitants, set in the valley of the río Cabra, a tributary of the Martín, facing the sierra de San Just and surrounded by pine forests. In the mid-19th century it had as many as 428 inhabitants. It preserves a 14th-century castle and the baroque parish church of San Miguel, from the 18th century. Along the river, old stepped mills follow one another: upstream, the molino nuevo, among rodeno pines and black poplars up to a pine forest overlooking the village; downstream, the molino bajo or viejo, on the way to the gorges of the Cabra. It is reached via the TE-V-1334, which links up with the N-211 at Castel de Cabra.
