The Priest's House Monument · Puerto Lumbreras, Alto Guadalentín, Murcia The Casa del Cura is a manor house in Puerto Lumbreras with the typical structure of a rural cortijo, made up of a main building, an annexe, a cistern and a plot of more than 7,200 square metres of gardens and vegetable garden. It was built in the 18th century by don Juan Arcas and was linked to farming and livestock work; at the end of the 19th century, its owner Alberto Marzal Arcas was among the estates that administered the waters drawn from the rambla de Nogalte through the Caño and Contracaño filtering-gallery system, for irrigating the campo de Nogalte. The main building, two whitewashed storeys with original cornices and window grilles, has recently been restored, and its conversion into a public and museum space is planned.
