A karst system with nineteen kilometres of surveyed passages open in the sierra de Beza, the only one in the Picos de Europa that drains toward the Sella; it was declared a natural monument by Decree 19/2003, of 13 March. It is a network of caves that separates the basins of the Cares and Sella rivers, with three entrances and a complex layout of galleries; although it does not reach the depth of chasms such as Torca Urriellu, its greatest drop is 600 metres.
