Argul Monument · Pesoz, Eo-Navia, Asturias Argul is a village in the parish of Pesoz, in western Asturias, of medieval origin and declared a Bien de Interés Cultural (Spain's highest level of heritage protection); its slate hamlet clusters on a hillside of the Navia valley and, together with the neighbouring settlement of A Paicega, forms one of the best-preserved rural ensembles in the area. In the mid-19th century it had 160 registered inhabitants, and Pascual Madoz's Diccionario geográfico-estadístico-histórico included a description of the place; since then the population has continued to shrink, down to the nine inhabitants registered in 2023.
