Cabo Vidio juts into the Cantabrian Sea next to the hamlet of Oviñana, in the municipality of Cudillero, with cliffs almost a hundred metres high between coves and beaches. At its tip stands the Cabo Vidio lighthouse, in service since 1950 and managed by the Avilés Port Authority, within a walled enclosure with two separate buildings. It is one of the most open viewpoints in western Asturias and an essential landmark for anyone sailing this coast.
