Santuario de Nuestra Señora de Oro, Zuia Monument · Zuia, Cuadrilla de Zuia, Álava Image of Zuia, not of the place itself. Located at about 850 meters of altitude between Bitoriano and Jugo, the first document to mention it dates from 1138, and archaeological remains of occupation dating to around 750 BC have been found in the surrounding area. The original Romanesque church, from the late 11th and 12th centuries, has vaults from the 14th-15th centuries and a sacristy with false plaster vaults from the 18th century; the complex was rebuilt after a fire in 1913.
