Palace of Mos Monument · Mos, Vigo, Pontevedra Palace of the marquesses of Mos, the ancestral home of the powerful House of Soutomaior, begun in 1543 for María de Soutomaior and Alonso de Quirós, with a chapel inaugurated in 1721. It has three superimposed floors and an austerity of Herreran air uncommon in Galician pazo architecture, the architecture of the Galician manor house. It was damaged by the French troops in 1809 and suffered a fire in 1816; today the Camiño Portugués skirts it. Photo: Stegop (CC BY-SA 3.0) What to see and do in Mos
