Festival of 31 August around the eel fished in the lower Ulla, which is served stewed as caldeirada, fried in strips and in a pie, and which recalls the river fishing that for centuries sustained the riverside parishes of the concello. It is accompanied by the Mostra da Caña do País, devoted to homemade spirit.
