Chapel of San Bieito de Lantaño

San Bieito is a locality in the parish of Lantaño, in the concello of Portas, which had 46 inhabitants in 2022; its name is a hagiotoponym, from the presence there of a chapel under the invocation of San Benito de Nursia. The chapel, probably built by the owners of the homonymous pazo, five hundred metres away, is surrounded by an oak grove; pilgrims come there on 21 March and 11 July to ask for a cure for warts and skin ailments.
