Ferro Hill Nature · Verea, Terra de Celanova, Ourense Image of Verea, not of the place itself. At 1,268 metres it is the roof of the concello and one of the landmarks of the border with Portugal, followed by the Froufe, at 1,245 metres, and the Penagache. In its surroundings mine workings are found that probably explain the place name, and from these heights run down the rivers Grande, Cexo and Orille, all tributaries of the Arnoia.
