Wetland of some 1,400 hectares shared with Xinzo de Limia that was left isolated after the draining of the lagoa de Antela, the largest lagoon Galicia ever had. It is one of the last refuges of the waterlogged plain that dominated this comarca until the mid-twentieth century.
