Hillfort of San Cibrao de Las Nature · San Amaro, Carballiño, Ourense One of the largest excavated Castro-culture settlements in Galicia, called A Cidade: two walled enclosures adding up to 95,900 square metres — some ten hectares — between croa and antecroa, the upper and lower enclosures, with 384 metres from north to south by 314 from east to west, above the river Barbantiño. It was inhabited between the second century BC and the second AD and the inscriptions found in it identify it with Lansbrica. The first campaigns were directed by López Cuevillas in 1922 and only fifteen per cent has been excavated. Photo: Luis Miguel Bugallo Sánchez (User:Lmbuga) (CC BY 3.0) What to see and do in San Amaro
