Víctor Corral House Museum Monument · Begonte, Terra Chá, Lugo The Casa-Museo de Víctor Corral stands in Baamonde, in the municipality of Begonte, in the form of a Galician pazo built in the 1970s by the sculptor himself, who was born there in 1937 and who as a child already modelled sculptures with stones while tending livestock. After studying at the Arts schools of A Coruña and the Lonja in Barcelona and opening his first workshop in 1963, he gathered in this house-museum a garden of works in granite and bronze, among them a dovecote decorated with stones and minerals from all over the world, and an interior with wood, ivory and bronze sculptures on abstract and religious themes. In the church of Baamonde he also carved a Virgin of the Rosary inside a centuries-old chestnut tree. In 2015 he was named favourite son of the municipality of Begonte.
