Neira river Nature · O Páramo, Sarria, Lugo The Neira is a tributary of the Miño that rises in the Serra do Portelo, in the concello of Baleira, at 840 metres above sea level, and runs 56 kilometres before flowing into the Miño, at the meeting point of the concellos of Guntín, O Páramo and O Corgo. As it passes through O Páramo it crosses a valley cut between wooded slopes and forms a natural boundary with O Corgo; its cold, trout-filled waters have preserved mills, fish weirs and riverside forests of alder and birch, in a course of great fishing and ecological richness.
