Small shell-shaped beach of fine golden sand, located in the Ares inlet between punta do Segaño and punta Coitelada, in a semi-urban setting; it is about 350 metres long by 40 wide. With moderate swell, it is suitable for sailing and water sports such as diving, and has a boat anchorage area; the surroundings, ringed by pine woods and gorse scrub, alternate low cliffs and meadows along the edge of the Bezoucos peninsula, overlooked by the hermitage of Nosa Señora da Mercede.
