Berzocana
Village

Iglesia de San Juan Bautista de Berzocana

Gothic church of almost cathedral-like proportions, with three naves of star vaults of equal height resting on six pillars, built in the 15th and 16th centuries over an earlier Mudejar church. It keeps, in a reliquary donated by Felipe II, the relics of San Fulgencio and Santa Florentina. It was declared a monumento histórico-artístico in 1977 (some sources imprecisely refer to it as a "monumento nacional", a designation that ceased to be legally used after 1931).
