Carbajo
Village
One of the smallest municipalities in the province, with about 261 inhabitants, 28.05 km² and 344 m altitude, located on the slope of the sierra that bears its name. Its origins cannot be dated precisely for lack of documentation, although the Archivo General de Simancas preserves a reference to "Carvajo, village and jurisdiction of the Villa de Alcántara" dated April 26, 1753. It preserves the church of Santa Marina, a Baroque church from the 16th-18th centuries.
