82 inhabitants (INE 2025), 15.11 km². It may have been the Roman Rodacis, a station on the Antonine Itinerary on the way to Trujillo. In the 18th century it had, in proportion to its population, one of the highest concentrations of hidalgos (lower nobility) in Extremadura.
