Livestock tradition in which riders round up the horses and colts from the countryside to shear their manes and tails before summer; it used to be a task done individually by herders until the equestrian association La Montosa turned it into a public festival about fifteen years ago. The day begins with Extremaduran migas by the fire and ends with a popular tasting of cocido stew after the animals are released.
