The patron saint festivities of Alcublas (Los Serranos, Valencia) in honour of Saint Anthony the Abbot and Our Lady of the Rosary include, among other events, those for Saint Anthony the Abbot, held on 17 January over four days: the first, with bonfires at every house -burning gorse- and the large bonfire in the church square followed by hot chocolate; the second, dedicated to San Antón, with the blessing of animals; the third, dedicated to the Cristo; and the fourth, with races in which the young people of the village compete to win a chicken and the children sweets.
