Hermitage of Guadasséquies Monument · Guadasséquies, La Vall d'Albaida, Valencia The hermitage of the Cristo del Amparo stands on a small hill on the outskirts of Guadasséquies, facing towards Sempere, next to a fountain and a landmark on the Ruta dels Quatre Pobles that links Alfarrasí, Benissuera and Sempere. With a Latin-cross plan and built of masonry, brick and tile, it displays a Baroque bell-gable with a bell and a dome topped with a small cupola over the crossing. The ceramic retable on the calvary gives 1906 as the year of construction, and the interior, covered with a barrel vault, preserves a canvas of the patron saint from the mid-18th century. It is listed as a Bien de Relevancia Local (a local-level heritage protection status in the Region of Valencia). Photo: Dendera (Public domain) What to see and do in Guadasséquies
